China has started to develop a low-orbit satellite system as an alternative to Starlink

It has been reported that the launch took place in Taiyuan. The satellites will be positioned at a distance between 300 and 2000 kilometers from Earth and will provide fast and affordable communication, creating an alternative to the American Starlink network (which is a matter of national security for China).

World’s first orbital power grid will be launched in 2025

Star Catcher Industries announced that it has received $12 25 000 in funding to create the world's first orbital energy network. Under the project, spacecraft will collect solar energy and transmit it to other satellites in orbit.
Collecting energy in space has a number of advantages. The lack of weather and time-of-day effects allows electricity to be generated around the clock. Instead of deliv

China has successfully launched the first 18 satellites of its Thousand Sails constellation, which is an analogue of SpaceX's Starlink

The satellites have been placed in a circular polar orbit at a height of approximately 800 kilometers. Their specific characteristics have not been disclosed. It is known that these devices resemble the Starlink satellites of the first production models (v 0.9 and v 1.0), which are flat rectangular parallelepipeds weighing approximately 250 kilograms and have one folding solar panel. They also hav
