The LEGO Group company together with the European Space Agency (ESA) Agency presented unique bricks, which are made of meteorite dust. The material was found in space. ESA scientists created a special lunar regolith by crushing an old meteorite to get the necessary material. The dust from it was used to 3D print the bricks, which connect to each other just like regular Lego pieces. Experts emphasize that using already existing lunar materials can significantly save resources and effort that are usually required to deliver construction materials from Earth to the Moon. Scientists around the world are looking for options to create materials directly in space. Experts predict that the first lunar bases created from meteorite dust could appear as early as 2030.
