SwitchBot unveiled two unusual robotic pets, Nico and Noah, at IFA 2025. They look like soft toys in the shape of penguins.

These devices combine the functions of a surveillance camera and a home companion: they can move their legs, blink, and move around on small wheels. The main focus is on interaction with their owners — the robots can recognize family members and express emotions, imitating joy, sadness, or even jealousy, depending on how much attention they receive. In addition, they respond to their owners' gestures and behavior, creating an emotional connection.

According to the developers' idea, Nico and Noah should become not only part of a smart home, but also a kind of emotional center that responds to people's moods and habits.

So far, the release date and cost of these robots remain unknown
