Circus Group has developed a fully autonomous kitchen system called Circus Autonomy One (CA-1) — a compact robot that takes care of all stages of food preparation: from storing ingredients to serving and cleaning up.
Inside a glass module measuring just seven square meters, two manipulators work with precision and speed unattainable by humans. One measures ingredients from smart silos with temperature and humidity control, while the other is responsible for heat treatment. In just a few minutes, the device prepares a hot dish and serves it to the customer without the involvement of staff.
The CA-1 is equipped with the CircusOS artificial intelligence system, which manages processes in real time, monitors leftovers, and regulates the speed of operation. The device is capable of preparing up to 120 meals per hour, which is equivalent to one order every 30 seconds. The built-in Winterhalter dishwasher ensures full automation of the cycle. All processes take place in a closed sterile space, which guarantees hygiene and minimal product loss.
Pilot program has already been launched in German REWE supermarkets, and the results have shown high stability and speed of service.
